13.200 solar panels will supply annually over 3,6 GWh of electricity to the Carmeuse (www.carmeuse.com) quarry located at Moha (province of Liège).
On an annual basis, the solar plant will cover 9% of the quarry’s total electricity consumption. PV coverage will average over 14% during the months of April till September.
The ground-mounted panel arrays are installed on 4,5ha of industrial wasteland right next to the quarry.We constructed the PV field. Total investment amounts to 3,8million Euros and is financed by pension fund Integrale based in Liège (www.integrale.be). Conversol played a leading role in the development of the project and will retain the asset management on behalf of the investor.
